Channel 9’s new hit Aussie drama renewed for second season.
Jessica Marais fans rejoice!
Channel 9 has announced this morning that Love Child will be returning to Australian screens for a second season.
The news comes after only two episodes of the new drama have aired, but with positive audience reactions and a stellar cast, it’s a no brainer that this show makes for killer Australian television.
The official Love Child Facebook page broke the news today, saying that all major cast members will be returning for season 2.
This includes Packed To The Rafters star Jessica Marais, Underbelly hottie Jonathan LaPaglia and Rhonda and Ketut favourite Mandy McElhinney.
“Also returning for series two are Ella Scott Lynch (Shirley Ryan), Sophie Hensser (Viv Maguire), Gracie Gilbert (Annie Carmichael) Harriet Dyer (Patricia Saunders) and Miranda Tapsell (Martha Tenant),” said the statement on Facebook.
We don’t see any Ryan Corr on that list. #TEARS
The second reason will kick off with a jam packed episode revolving around activities on New Year’s Eve 1970.
So far we have witnessed the antics of Kings Cross in the 1960s, so season 2 will expose audiences to a new decade.
But before season 2 arrives, we’ve got plenty of the first season to get through.
Make sure you tune in to Love Child tomorrow night, 8:40pm on Channel 9.
