A huge congratulations is in order for ‘Home & Away’ heart throb Luke Mitchell who has made his mark in Hollywood recently after scoring a role in US drama ‘Tomorrow People’!

Based on the original UK series created by Roger Price in the 1970s, ‘The Tomorrow People’ is a sci-fi drama, and the first large scale international project for the former Home and Away star.

Luke plays the role of John Young opposite onscreen love interest Peyton List of ‘Mad Men’ fame and his character has special ‘teleportation’ abilities.

And the news just keeps getting better!

The Tomorrow People is set to hit Aussie screens in just a matter of days, premiering on Thursday April 3 on Fox 8.

In the lead up to the premiere down under, Luke has shown his excitement about local fans finally getting to see his new work.

The blonde babe took to Twitter on Friday saying, ‘Australia, this is what I’ve been doing since #HomeAndAway.. #TheTomorrowPeople Premieres NEXT THURS 7:30pm @FOX8tv.’

Luke, who is married to fellow Home and Away co-star Rebecca Breeds, is one of many Summer Bay alumni making it big in tinsel town.

Chris Hemsworth and Chris Egan are two notable names in Hollywood, whilst Luke’s wife Rebecca recently scored a pilot in new CBS drama ‘We Are Men’.

Make sure you tune into The Tomorrow People on Thursday at 7:30pm on Fox 8 – Hooray, our Romeo Smith withdrawals will be satisfied!
