Those wedding rumours are in full swing once again after a slip of the tongue in New York City.

Australian actor Sam Worthington has been arrested in New York City after an altercation with the paparazzi.

The 37 year old was strolling down a NYC street with partner Lara Bingle yesterday, when a photographer kicked Bingle just outside the Cubbyhole bar in Greenwich Village.

Worthington reacted immediately, punching the photographer, causing some injuries to the pap’s nose.

The actor was arrested at the scene, but was then shortly released on bail after being charged and will appear in court on February 26.

26 year old model Lara Bingle is no stranger to plenty of media attention.  Her 2012 reality show Being Lara Bingle exposed the regular paparazzi clan following her on a daily basis.

But it looks like yesterday’s events got the better of Lara’s beau, who in the heat of the moment may very well have revealed that the pair are officially married.

Worthington yelled at the photographer, “you kicked my wife.”

Wedding rumours have been swirling since earlier this year, suggesting that the glamour couple secretly tied the knot in Western Australia.  They have since been spotted wearing matching gold bands on their wedding fingers.

So does this confirm that Lara and Sam are officially hitched?  It’s now time to play the waiting game, in anticipation of an official comment (or Instagram snap) from the home grown hotties.
