The mag cover we are SO in love with

Shanina Shaik

Cleo Magazine February 2013

Gorgeous glossies.. we all love to have a flick, drool on some baben eye candy, steal some beauty tips and catch up on some much needed girlie reading material.

And then there’s the girl crush on the cover girl!

Right now we are head over heels for Cleo magazine’s newest cover chick: Shanina Shaik.

The exotic home grown hottie is repping us Aussies abroad, not only in the fashion world, but in the luscious land of Victoria’s Secret (overachiever much?!). #LoveIt

Shanina shot to fame after placing runner up in Australian reality series Make Me a Supermodel in 2008.

It wasn’t long before international runways were calling her name and she managed to nab herself sexy model man Tyson Beckford whilst she was at it (they’ve since broken up).

You may also recognise the stunner from the windows in Just Jeans.  Shanina sure knows how to rock some hot denim, and is one of the celebrity ambassadors for the brand at the moment.

So why do we love this Cleo cover so much?

Apart from Shanina being drop dead gorgeous, she’s an Aussie woman reflecting multicultural diversity. And let’s be honest.. Australia is very multicultural.

Shanina’s ethnicity is an exotic mix of Lithuanian, Pakistani and Saudi Arabian roots.

It’s wonderful to see a young female’s mag in Australia take a risk and deviate from the often stereotypical Hollywood cover girls used.  Cheers to diversity AND supporting local talent!

Make sure you grab a copy of the February issue of Cleo on news stands now.

Check out some of our fave Shanina pics from her Instagram account.  We could literally stay on her page ALL DAY!
